Junk Food is the informal term used to describe foods that are of little or no nutritional value that are often high in fat, sugar or calories. They are seen everywhere we go; in groceries, restaurants and on television that usually looks very appealing. However, junk foods such as hamburgers, pizza, fried chicken and chips, usually contain loads of saturated fats, thus causing a person to put on weight and get fat or obese(very fat). When a person becomes overweight they increase their risks of heart disease and other diseases such as high blood pressure, some cancers and also diabetes.

smoked or cured meats

Fatty or burned over-cooked meats,
heavily or artificially sweetened beverages
- soft drinks
- flavored fruit drinks
- teas
- smoothies
- artificial flavoured drinks: Tang, KoolAid, Juice C, Turbo
